After the agreement of his new contract, the New York Jets released a statement from Rex and John Idzik.

“I want to thank Woody, John, our players, coaches and fans for their support.” Rex said. “I’m an ordinary guy that has been given an unbelievable opportunity.”

As he said all year, Rex is happy to be a Jet and knows that the team is heading in the right direction.

“I’m glad to be a Jet and that’s never changed.” Ryan said. “I know what we all want and we’re striving to get there but it’s not really about me.”

After missing the playoffs for three straight seasons, Rex understands that team needs to improve but is ready to move on and start the new season off on a good note.

“We’re already into our offseason planning.” Rex said. “There are tons of areas we could improve in and we cant wait to get rolling.”

GM John Idzik is happy to retain Rex as a coach and says nothing but good things about his colleague.

“As I stated before, he is a phenominal teacher and motivator.” Idzik said. “We are very fortunate to have him as our head coach.”

The first year GM basically mentions that the team and the organization are focused on one important thing. To bring a winner for the Jets.

“The front office, players, coaches and the entire organization are all in this together.” John Idzik said. “We all are governed by the exact same motives and that is to construct a perennial winner with the Jets.
