In week three against Buffalo, Geno Smith had an average game. He went 16-29, threw for 331 yards along with two touchdowns and two INT’s. Not to mention, Geno had an initial game winning TD to Santonio Holmes with about nine minutes left on the clock.
Geno should think about this game as being a playoff game because of a few opportunities. The Bills rank 17th in passing defense, giving up 238yds per game to opposing quarterbacks and 22nd in the league to opposing running backs averaging 117yds. This is an advantage to Geno because the run game and the passing game can help the flow of the offense. Geno will have Santonio Holmes back in uniform, and this season Santonio has been a deep threat to opposing defenses. However, Holmes has not played a game since week four so there should be some rust in his game tomorrow.
Although in the Rex Ryan era, the Jets are 1-3 after the bye, Geno should feel comfortable against the Bills because not only is Santonio Holmes back from his injury but Kellen Winslow is back after his four game suspension.
