Mike Goodson has been indicted on weapons charges

mikegoodson Jets RB Mike Goodson has been indicted on two weapons charges on Thursday.

Morris County PO announced that Goodson had been indicted on a second-degree charge on illegal possession of a gun and a fourth degree charge of banned weapons.

On May 17th, 2013, Mike Goodson and a friend Garant Evans were arrested by New Jersey police in Denville that related to his charges.

Police reported to reporters in a press release after the indiction. The first handgun was found in Goodson’s glove department that was a .45-caliber and the second charge was possession of an apparent hollow-point bullet. (NY Daily News).

“It was nothing surprising, we had been waiting for it, at least now we can start the formal procedure to get this guy exonerated. I haven’t been given a timetable for the proceedings, but I expect a trial will be months away.” Mike Goodson’s lawyer, Tony Fusco told reporters.

Coinciding with the gun charges, Goodson has been arrested on drug charges earlier in the season that got him suspended from the NFL. Goodson was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Before the season started, Mike Goodson was suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s rule on substance abuse policy. After his suspension was over, Goodson was placed on IR when he tore his ACL and his MCL against the Steelers.
