3 keys to a NY Jets victory against Cincinatti

Here are three things that the Jets need to at least do in order to beat the Cincinnati Bengals today.

NFL: New England Patriots at New York Jets

1. Stop A.J. Green: AJ Green has become Andy Dalton’s favorite target this season, Green has a total of 619 yards with 1TD this season. It may not sound a lot but it still a guy Antonio Cromartie or Dee Milliner needs to keep an eye on.

2. Geno needs to carry momentum: Consistency has been a problem for Geno Smith this season. After that impressive win against New England with 233yds and  2 total TDs. If Geno can keep up this level of play against a 18th ranked Bengals defense the offense will be in good shape.

3. Defense has to contain the Bengals’ pass offense. The Bengals average 262.3 passing yards per game which is 9th in the league. When Andy Dalton averages 200yds or more this team is 5-2 (their record), so in addition to stopping AJ Green the Jets need to show the Bengals why they’re 4th in pass defense.

These keys will help the Jets be just one game behind first place in the AFC east but it will not be an easy matchup as they go to Paul Brown stadium. So expect a lot of throwing from both Geno and Andy Dalton. Game starts at 4:05 ET.
