The Jets Week 7 review against the Patriots.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New York Jets

The Jets played extremely well against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, leading them to a thrilling OT win with the score of 30-27.

In the first half it was all Patriots. Geno Smith threw a pick six to Logan Ryan for 79 yards that essentially put the Jets down by 11. (21-10 at the half).

In the second half it was all Jets. The Jets opened up the half with a pick six by Antonio Allen to nudge the league to 4 points. Since then the Jets marched up the field and scored another TD off of a Geno Smith 8yd run.

At the end of the 4th quarter the Patriots were fortunate enough to kick a FG and send it in to OT at 27 a piece.

In OT after the Patriots gave up the ball, Geno Smith and the crew marched up the field to set up a game winning FG. When K Nick Folk missed the 55yd FG, the refs called an unusual and controversial unsportsmanlike conduct on the Patriots. The unsportsmanlike conduct was for Patriots’ T Chris Johnson for pushing a teammate into the offense. Because of that 15yd penalty it set up Nick Folk for a 42yd FG to snap a 6 game loosing streak to the Patriots.

Like I said, in order for the Jets to win they need to run the ball more and rush Brady. Jets RB Chris Ivory ran for 107 yards and the Jets picked off Brady for a pick six and sacked him 4 times.

Geno finished the game 233yd, 1TD, 1 rush TD and 1INT. Brady finished the game with 228yd, 0TD and 1INT.

Next week, the Jets face the Bengals and the Patriots go up against the Dolphins.
