On Tuesday, the Jets have signed former Stony Brook RB Miguel Maysonet to their practice squad.
This will be Miguel’s fifth practice squad acquisition after stints with the Eagles, Browns, Chargers and the Colts. Miguel himself has never made the active roster for any of the teams.
Last year, Maysonet made an amazing impression NFL scouts as they saw that he ran for 1900 yards at Stony Brook which caused Maysonet to be the first Stony Brook player to be invited to the NFL scouting combine.
After placing RB Mike Goodson on IR, the Jets hope to eventually promote the young star to their active roster either being a starter or an understudy to Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell.
